MiDAS Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme

MiDAS is the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme, administered nationally by the Community Transport Association UK (CTAUK) an organisation whose aim it is to raise the standard of minibus driving throughout the third sector.

The Standard MiDAS Driver training involves drivers completing a number of On-Line MiDAS Theory modules and an On-Line Theory test, and covers a wide range of topics including :

• Introducing MiDAS
• Driver licensing
• Legal Requirements
• Safe Driving
• Vehicle checks
• Breakdown & collision procedures
• A 90 minute individual Drive Assessment

The Accessible MiDAS Driver Training involves the Standard Driver Training PLUS a classroom based Access and Disability Awareness advice & information theory session, including a 30 minute Accessible Assessment.
